St. Mary's Senior Nicholas LaGuerre Earns CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- St. Mary's senior Nicholas LaGuerre was honored as the CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 2, 2015.

St. Mary's senior guard Nicholas LaGuerre was named the CAC Player of the Week for the second time this year after averaging 24.5 points per game in leading St. Mary's to a 2-0 week and sole possession of first place in the CAC. LaGuerre shot 56% from the floor and 93.8% (15-for-16) from the free throw line for the week while also averaging 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.5 steals per contest. He shot an impressive 64.3% at Penn State Harrisburg as the Seahawks collected their fifth straight win, adding a season-best six steals.

St. Mary's (10-2 CAC) holds a one-game edge over Marymount and Christopher Newport atop the CAC standings ... Mary Washington sophomore John Lutkenhaus scored a career-high 29 points, including five three-pointers, as UMW won at Frostburg State on Wednesday. Freshman Eric Shaw scored 20 points at Marymount on Saturday ... Wyatt Smith led Salisbury with 23.0 points per and 8.0 rebounds game in two games this week, including a win over Southern Virginia and a close loss to St. Mary's, 68-67. Smith shot 69.2 percent from the floor for the week ... David Baety led Southern Virginia with 20 points in Wednesday's night's upset over Christopher Newport, the Knights first-ever CAC victory ... Wesley's Wayne Lennon scored a career-high 26 points with 10 boards for a double-double in upset win at then first-place Marymount. For the week he averaged 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game for the Wolverines.
