YORK, Pa. -- Christopher Newport sophomore Tim Daly was named the CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 24, 2014.

Daly was named CAC Player of the Week after averaging 16.0 points per game in leading the Captains to a 2-1 start to the season, including a 71-70 overtime victory against 11th-ranked Randolph-Macon. Daly posted a pair of 20-plus point efforts last week, shooting 9-for-13 from the floor for 22 points against Washington & Lee and totaling 20 points against Lynchburg. He shot 60% for the week and 80% from the free throw line, while also chipping in 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per contest.

Christopher Newport is ranked No. 24 in the D3hoops.com Top-25 Preseason Poll, while Mary Washington received votes ... Frostburg State freshman Tyler Michael totaled 34 points in two games, including a 27-point outing in FSU's win over Randolph ... Mary Washington fell to Shenandoah and Hampden-Sydney this wekeend at the South Region Shootout. Sophomore Brent Mahoney averaged 10.0 points per page and shot 57% from the floor, while senior Taylor Johnson averaged a double-double with 11 points per game and 12 rebounds per game ... St. Mary's senior Nick LaGuerre tallied a season-best 31 points at Delaware Valley, marking just the second time in his career that he has scored 30-plus points ... Charles Porter helped Salisbury to a 1-1 record last week, scoring in double figures in both games ... Southern Virginia faced Division I Brigham Young last Wednesday.
