Christopher Newport sophomore Tim Daly was named CAC Player of the Week for the second time this season after averaging 23.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Captains. Daly led CNU to a pair of CAC season-opening wins over Southern Virginia and Frostburg State. He shot 61.5% for the week, posting a 16-of-26 mark from the field. Daly notched double-doubles in both games, including a season-high 14 rebounds against Frostburg State.

Christopher Newport and Marymount are receiving votes in the D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll ... Mary Washington senior Taylor Johnson averaged a double-double in a pair of UMW defeats this week. He scored a game-high 16 points and added 12 rebounds with four assists in the Eagles' 72-69 loss to Frostburg State on Wednesday, and added 14 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in UMW's 63-52 loss at York on Saturday. He is averaging 12.9 points and 9.3 rebounds in UMW's first seven games ... Nicholas LaGuerre led St. Mary's in nearly every category in a 1-1 CAC-opening week, averaging 22.0 points per game ... Salisbury sophomore Gordon Jeter led the Sea Gulls with two double-doubles, averaging 11 points and 11 rebounds for the week while shooting over 72% ... Wesley's A.J. Tilghman scored all 24 of his points in the second half and overtime in a two-point win at Southern Virginia as Wesley overcame a 17-point deficit ... York's Tyler Alcid hit the game-winning 18-footer at the horn to lift York to a 59-58 overtime win at Penn State Harrisburg last Wednesday. Alcid then tallied a career-high 12 points, all in the second half, in the Spartans 63-52 win over Mary Washington on Saturday.
