YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington senior Chrissy Gaul earned CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week accolades for March 15, 2016.

Mary Washington senior Chrissy Gaul earned CAC Player of the Week accolades after leading the 18th-ranked Eagles to victories over UT-Dallas and York last week. Gaul won at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-2, against UT-Dallas, and also was victorious at No. 1 singles against York, overcoming a 5-2 first set deficit to win 7-5, 6-2.

In the ITA team rankings, Mary Washington is ranked No. 18 in the nation and No. 6 in the Atlantic South Region, Christopher Newport is No. 33 nationally and No. 7 in the region, and Salisbury is No. 8 in the region ... In the ITA singles rankings, UMW's Shelby Harris is ranked No. 41 in the nation and 10th in the region, Salisbury's Natalie Savage is No. 17 in the region, and UMW's Kait Brogan is No. 25 ... In doubles, Harris and Brogan are No. 5 nationally and No. 3 regionally, while teammates Sara Fioretti and Caroline Mosberg are tied for 25th nationally and No. 7 regionally.
