YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington sophomore Kait Brogan was awarded as the CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for March 2, 2016.

Mary Washington sophomore Kait Brogan was named the CAC Player of the Week after starting the season with unbeaten records at No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles, including victories over two Division I opponents. Brogan won a three-setter over Norfolk State and captured straight-set victories against Longwood and Washington College. In doubles, Brogan and Shelby Harris have won all three matches in impressive fashion, dropping just six total games.

In the ITA singles rankings, UMW's Shelby Harris is ranked No. 41 in the nation and 10th in the region, Salisbury's Natalie Savage is No. 17 in the region, and UMW's Kait Brogan is No. 25 ... In doubles, Harris and Brogan are No. 5 nationally and No. 3 regionally, while teammates Sara Fioretti and Caroline Mosberg are tied for 25th nationally and No. 7 regionally ... CNU is off to a 5-1 start through last Sunday with four wins over regionally-ranked opponents. The Captains defeated Salisbury 7-2 in the lone CAC match played so far this season. McKinney Harwood is 2-1 in singles and 5-0 in doubles through last Sunday, falling only to Natalie Savage of Salisbury at the No. 1 singles spot ... Savage is a perfect 5-0 in singles matches for Salisbury at the No. 1 position, and boasts a 4-1 mark at No. 1 doubles with Zoe Moffat.
