St. Mary's Senior Matt Tarrant and Salisbury Senior Austin Kemp Tabbed as CAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- St. Mary's senior Matt Tarrant and Salisbury senior Austin Kemp were tabbed as the CAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for April 13, 2015.

St. Mary's senior Matt Tarrant was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Seahawks to a 2-0 week with back-to-back hat tricks. Tarrant opened the week with three goals and an assist in a 9-6 triumph over Mary Washington. He then contributed three goals and season bests of two assists and five points in a 15-6 road win at Marymount. He finished the week shooting .857 with six goals on just seven shots.

Salisbury senior Austin Kemp earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after leading a pair of strong defensive efforts for the Sea Gulls in victories over Christopher Newport and Frostburg State. Kemp tied for the team lead with four caused turnovers on the week, also adding five ground balls. Kemp and the Sea Gull defense limited its two opponents to just 10 goals in a pair of key CAC victories.

Salisbury (7-0) took control of first place in the CAC with a 8-7 overtime triumph over Frostburg State on Saturday ... Frostburg State and York are both 5-1 in conference play, while Christopher Newport and St. Mary's are both 4-2 ... Frostburg State goalkeeper Tom Kraemer totaled 18 saves in two games last week, including a career-high 16 in the overtime loss to Salisbury ... St. Mary's goalkeeper Joe Casey posted a 6.67 GAA and .706 save percentage in a 2-0 week for Seahawks, totalling 24 saves in just 90 minutes of work ...
