Frostburg State Senior Devin Colegrove and York Junior Caleb Abney Receive CAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
YORK, Pa. -- Frostburg State senior Devin Colegrove and York junior Caleb Abney were named the CAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for March 3, 2015.

Frostburg State senior Devin Colegrove was selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after opening the season with 14 points to help the Bobcats to a 2-0 start. Colegrove posted seven points in a pair of games, including a three-goal, four-assist effort in the season-opener against Shenandoah. He followed that up with six assists and one goal in a victory over Lebanon Valley.

York junior Caleb Abney secured CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping the Spartans to a pair of season-opening wins last week, including a 9-8 overtime victory over No. 4 Washington College. In the win over Washington, Abney made 16 saves in his 49:34 of work in net. He allowed six goals as the Spartans registered their first-ever win over a top five team. He followed that with eight saves in 58:41 of play in the Spartans' 9-5 road win at McDaniel on Saturday. For the week, Abney made 24 saves in 108:15 minutes of work with a 6.10 goals against average and a .686 save percentage.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
All nine CAC teams competed at least once last week after numerous game postponements over the first few weeks of the season ... York is ranked No. 6 and Salisbury is No. 12 in both the USILA Rankings and the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Rankings, while Christopher Newport is receiving votes from the USILA ... CNU's Dave Magdeburger posted a career-high seven points, including four goals, in CNU's 17-5 victory over Randolph-Macon on February 25 ... Thomas Cirillo led Salisbury with six points over the past week, scoring four goals and adding two assists ... In York's 9-8 overtime win over No. 4 Washington College last Wednesday, senior Tyler Hutson scored the game-tying goal with 15 seconds left in regulation and then buried the game-winner 28 seconds into the extra period with a shot from 25 yards out. He finished the game with four goals and two assists for six points. Hutson is the Spartans' all-time leading scorer as he now has 218 points on 166 goals and 52 assists.
