Marymount Senior Kievanna Lacey Earns CAC Women's Basketball Weekly Honors
YORK, Pa. -- Marymount senior Kievanna Lacey was named the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 22, 2016.

Marymount senior Kievanna Lacey was named the CAC Player of the Week after guiding the Saints to a 2-0 week and the regular season title with averages of 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Marymount defeated Salisbury on Wednesday before snapping No. 17 Christopher Newport's 17-game winning streak on Saturday to seal up the top seed in the postseason tournament. Against Salisbury, Lacey posted 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Against CNU, she tallied 23 points along with four boards, four assists and four steals. She also went 17-for-20 (85%) at the free throw line for the week.

The CAC Tournament begins on Tuesday with first-round action at Mary Washington and York. Third-seeded Mary Washington will host sixth-seeded St. Mary's at 6 p.m. on the front end of a playoff doubleheader, while fourth-seeded York will host fifth-seeded Salisbury at 6 p.m. ... Top-seeded Marymount and second-seeded Christopher Newport earned first round byes and will host Thursday's semifinals ... This marks the third straight year that the same six CAC teams will be competing in the conference postseason ... Salisbury's Mary McDonagh scored a team-high 14 points and hit four three pointers vs. Marymount on Wednesday, and capped the week with 11 points, seven boards and five assists in a 30-point win over Frostburg State on Saturday ...
