Salisbury Junior Victoria Luc and Christopher Newport Sophomore Sam Rabinek Earn CAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week Awards
YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury junior Victoria Luc and and Christopher Newport sophomore Sam Rabinek were named the CAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week for Sept. 29, 2014.
Offensive Player of the Week

Salisbury junior Victoria Luc was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after having a hand in two game-winning goals for the Sea Gulls. Against Stevenson, Luc notched a goal and an assist in the 3-2 win, including the assist on Samantha Beck's game-winner in overtime. In the overtime nail-biter against Southern Virginia, Luc was not able to be at most of the game because of work she had to complete for her nursing major, but she showed up just in time for overtime. In the second overtime period, she took a ball from Jackie Lambergman and fired it into the goal, giving Salisbury a 2-1 victory.

Christopher Newport sophomore Sam Rabinek was selected as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after anchoring a defense that did not allow a single shot on Saturday. The Captains held visiting Wesley without a shot attempt in a 5-0 victory in the CAC opener for both squads.
