Christopher Newport Junior Ryan Scott and Salisbury Sophomore Michael Millemann Named CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- Christopher Newport junior Ryan Scott and Salisbury sophomore Michael Millemann were selected as the CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for March 7, 2017.

Christopher Newport junior Ryan Scott was selected as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second this year after making his way into the top-10 nationally in the 60-hurdles at the George Mason Last Chance Meet and winning three events at the Roanoke Final Qualifier during a busy week. At George Mason, he posted a personal-best time of 8.13 in the hurdles, which places him seventh in the NCAA this year and ranks as the third-fastest clocking in CNU history. One week later, he captured three titles at Roanoke. During the meet, he won the 60 (6.95), 60-hurdles (8.23), and 200 (22.22) to round out his week.

Salisbury sophomore Michael Millemann was honored as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after securing a victory in the javelin throw at the Lloyd Sigler Meet this past Saturday. Millemann captured the first-place finish after recording a throw of 161'-10", beating the second-place finisher by over 20 feet.

Seven individuals and one relay will represent the CAC at the 2017 NCAA Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships ... The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held March 10-11 at the Res Rec Center in Naperville, Illinois, with North Central College serving as the official host ... Competing at the NCAA Championships will be Christopher Newport's Ryan Scott (60 hurdles & 200), Dominique Torres (Triple Jump), Grayson Reid (5,000), the distance medley relay of Zach Campbell, Cullen Monahan, Jeff Dover, and Cavanaugh McGaw, Salisbury's Eric Halton (400), and Wesley's Roland Attoh-Okine (60 hurdles), Greg Taylor (60), and Joseph Crenshaw (200) ... Frostburg State junior Collin Schultz took home a top-10 finish in the high jump at a mark of 1.93 (6ft. 4in.) at the ECAC Indoor Championships. The jump was good enough for sixth-place at the event ... At the Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet hosted by Salisbury on Saturday, Carmelo Barresi earned first-place finishes in the 100 (11.28) and 200 (22.81) ... Southern Virginia freshman Brandon Shelley placed fourth in the 800-meter run at North Carolina-Pembroke, crossing in 2:03.16.
