YORK, Pa. -- Christopher Newport sophomore Harry Nodwell was named the CAC Golfer of the Week for March 31, 2015.

Christopher Newport sophomore Harry Nodwell was named CAC Golfer of the Week after recording six rounds in the 70's in a pair of 54-hole tournaments to begin the spring season. Nodwell's best round was an even-par 70 in the first round of the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate. He finished 17th at Camp Lejeune with a seven-over 221 (70-75-76). In his CNU debut at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate, he finished at 12-over with rounds of 74-75-79 for a three-day total of 228.

A trio of CAC teams opened up their spring men's golf campaigns this past weekend. York, New Jersey City and William Paterson each competed for the first time in 2015, as all seven CAC squads have now competed this spring ... New Jersey City freshman Tyler Young holed a chip shot from 30 yards on the par-5 18th to notch the first eagle in the five-year history of the Gothic Knight men’s golf program as NJCU opened its spring schedule on March 29 at Galloping Hill Golf Course in a tri-match against William Paterson and Yeshiva. Young had his best score as a Gothic Knight, placing 7th overall with a +13 round of 84 (44-40) ... Marymount's Brad Johnson posted a team-high 17th-place finish with his 80-81 weekend at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate ... Penn State Harrisburg started its spring season by taking first place at the Revolutionary Classic March 21-22 at Patriots Glen National Golf Club. The due of junior Tyler Massar and sophomore Tyler Shank each finished with six-over 78's to tie for third place ... William Paterson's Christian Foti carded a career-best score of five-over 76 during the tri-match with New Jersey City and Yeshiva. At the Susquehanna Invitational, James Nuzzo paced the Pioneers with an 80 (+12) to tie for sixth, followed by Foti with an 81 (+13, ninth) ... William Paterson won the tri-match with 317 strokes, followed by Yeshiva (355) and New Jersey City (414)
