YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury sophomore Pete Grasso and Marymount freshman Dylan Gerdts were named the CAC Baseball Players of the Week for April 6, 2015.

Salisbury sophomore Pete Grasso was named the CAC Player of the Week after helping the Sea Gulls to a 6-0 week with 12 runs, 11 hits, and five RBIs. Grasso recorded a .440 batting average (11-for-25) with a home run, a triple, and a double, registering at least one hit in each of the Sea Gulls' victories. Grasso also helped turn four double plays from his shortstop position.

Marymount freshman righthander Dylan Gerdts was named CAC Pitcher of the Week after tossing a complete-game shutout against Penn State Harrisburg last Wednesday. Gerdts struck out five, walked three and allowed six hits in the nine-inning shutout, helping the Saints secure a 12-0 victory over the Lions.

Salisbury is ranked No. 1 in the Week 6 D3baseball.com Rankings, while Frostburg State is ranked No. 12 ... In the Collegiate Baseball poll, Salisbury is ranked third and Frostburg State is 8th ... Salisbury is the lone unbeaten in CAC play at 13-0, with Frostburg State in second at 11-2. Both Salisbury and Frostburg State have clinched playoffs berths. Mary Washington (10-5) also boasts a winning mark in conference play ... Christopher Newport freshman Tyler Wood hit .550 last week, driving in six runs and scoring five times in a 2-3 week for the Captains ... Frostburg State senior Ricky Brady collected seven hits and nine RBIs as the Bobcats went 4-1 on the week ... Mary Washington sophomore Nick McIntyre was stellar in his start last week for the Eagles, allowing three hits in seven innings with two walks and eight strikeouts and no runs as UMW finished a sweep of Marymount on Saturday to improve to 10-5 in league play. Junior James Keller had at least two hits in all four of UMW's wins this week, batting .458 with two home runs and six RBI and six runs scored. He had two hits and a stolen base against Christopher Newport, four hits (including two doubles) in a win at Southern Virginia, and five hits, including a double and two home runs, in a sweep over Marymount ... Penn State Harrisburg senior starter Will Chaney pitched seven shutout innings and struck out five en route to 12-7 win over York ... St. Mary's Jared Eaker cracked his first home run as a Seahawk in St. Mary's game 2 win over Christopher Newport as Eaker finished the game with a 4-for-5 effort ... Wesley's Connor Springsteen allowed no earned runs on three hits and fanned seven batter over 7.0 innings in a win over York.
