Salisbury And York Both Gain Road Victories For Their First CAC Volleyball Wins Of 2013
Salisbury edged host St. Mary's, 3-2, while York shut out host Wesley Tuesday as the Sea Gulls and Spartans picked up their first conference volleyball victories of the season. Christopher Newport and Marymount also emerged victorious Tuesday.

Christopher Newport 3, at Southern Virginia 0 - Briana Sutton posted her third straight double-digit kill effort, while Rachel Conway matched career-highs with four aces and six blocks as the Christopher Newport volleyball team took down Southern Virginia, 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-23) on Tuesday evening at the Knight Sports Arena.
York 3, at Wesley 0 - The York College volleyball squad earned their first Capital Athletic Conference win of the year as they downed Wesley College 3-0 in Dover, Delaware on Tuesday evening. The Spartans won the match by scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-22. York improves to 14-9 overall and 1-1 in the league while the Wolverines fall to 15-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
at Marymount 3, Shenandoah 1 - Marymount University’s women’s volleyball team defeated visiting Shenandoah 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18) in non-conference action on Tuesday night. The Saints improve to 14-8 on the season and have won 11 of their last 13 matches.
Salisbury 3, at St. Mary's 2 - The Salisbury University volleyball team earned its first Capital Athletic Conference victory on Tuesday night, defeating St. Mary's College of Maryland, 15-6, in the fifth set to complete a 3-2 win.
