Salisbury junior Carley Todd, the 2011 CAC Volleyball Player of the Year, earned third-team All-America and was one of three conference players named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America team.

Joining Todd on the national team were teammate Chelsea Glowacki and Stevenson sophomore Jessica Gieselman, both earning Honorable Mention All-America recognition.

Todd tallied 219 kills, 642 assists, 312 digs and 90 total blocks in 35 matches this season. The Centerport, N.Y., native had 59 service aces and averaged 0.46 aces per game – good for fifth in the league.

Last week, Todd earned AVCA Division III All-Mid Atlantic Region honors, and was tabbed CAC Volleyball Player of the Year and was a part of the All-CAC first team. Todd was a two-time CAC Player of the Week and also earned an AVCA National Player of the Week award this year.

Glowacki also earned her second straight all-region honor while picking up her second-straight first-team and third overall CAC honor last week. Glowacki is sixth in the CAC with a .261 attack percentage, has tallied 274 kills, 26 aces and 179 digs. The Poolesville, Md., native led the league in blocks per game (1.07) with 136 total in 36 matches.

Salisbury advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament before falling to Christopher Newport University, 3-0, to finish with a 32-4 overall record. The Sea Gulls finished with 30-plus wins for the fifth time in program history.

Gieselman earned first-team All-CAC recognition after leading the Mustangs to a 31-4 overall record, including a second-place finish in the conference regular season and post-season tournament.  The Mustangs went on to earn the first NCAA Tournament bid in team history. 

She led the Mustangs by distributing 1,077 assists and was among the leaders in service aces (38), digs (264), block assists (41) and total blocks (43).
