Despite coming up one match short of the NCAA Finals, this year's Bobcat squad had one of the most successful seasons in school history. The 2010 team advanced further than any team before them in the NCAA Tournament, came within two victories of the school record and hosted an NCAA Regional for the first time ever.

The Bobcats set a school record by starting the season 13-0 and climbed as high as third in the Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings. FSU advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight season and won the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament in their first year in the league.
