Seven CAC Players Named To AVCA All-Region Volleyball Squad

Frostburg State and York each had a pair of first-team honorees among the seven Capital Athletic Conference players named to the 2010 AVCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Volleyball Team.

Five CAC players were among the 14 named to the Mid-Atlantic Region team, including Sarah Stephens and Kylie Carrington of Frostburg State, Alysse Beshore and Ashley Rineman of York and Chelsea Glowacki of Salisbury.

Six players were also named to an Honorable Mention all-region squad, including Mary Washington freshman OH Hannah Lawson and Salisbury sophomore setter/hitter Carley Todd.

All seven all-region honorees were named to the 2010 All-CAC squad earlier this week.  Stephens was the CAC Player of the Year and first-team all-star while Lawson was a first-team all-star and Rookie of the Year.

Beshoe, Carrington and Glowacki joined Stephens and Lawson as first-team All-CAC honorees while Todd and Rineman were second-team all-conference choices.
