Salisbury's Radcliffe, Frostburg State's Weinberger Break School Records to Headline Weekend Women's Swimming Action

Salisbury junior Victoria Radcliffe, Frostburg State freshman Maddie Weinberger and Marymount freshman Katharina David broke school records over the weekend to highlight women's swimming action around the CAC. 

Radcliffe led Salisbury at the Swarthmore Invitational with a record-breaking performance in the 400 IM, shattering a nine-year-old school record at 4:41.01 to take first place. The record is Radcliffe's fourth individual record in the SU swimming record book.

Weinberger paced FSU at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, swimming to a record-breaking time in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:28.41, crushing the previous school record of 2:31.36 set in 1994. Weinberger finished eighth overall in the event.  Her time also is an ECAC "A" cut.

St. Mary's posted a 2-0 record this weekend, edging McDaniel 52-43 on Friday before cruising to a 148-6 triumph over SUNY Delhi on Saturday. Seniors Cara Machlin and Zoe McIlmail each picked up three gold medals vs. McDaniel, while McIlmail, senior Karlie Straight and sophomore Elizabeth Straathof claimed three top finishes against SUNY Delhi. 

Marymount went 1-1 this weekend, opening with a 126-68 victory over Gallaudet on Friday. before falling 137-125 to Randolph-Macon on Saturday. David's record-breaking time in the 200 IM led the Saints against Gallaudet, as she touched with a time of 2:12.19. David was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay. Sophomore Morgan Alston paced the Saints against Randolph-Macon, taking first in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly and 400 IM. 

York suffered a 121-78 defeat at Dickinson on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Kacey Banks captured the team's lone individual victory on the day as she won the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:21.09.
