St. Mary's Women's Swimming Posts 2-0 Weekend Mark; Marymount Earns Win, Salisbury Takes Second at Swarthmore Invitational

St. Mary's posted a pair of dual meet victories over the weekend, Marymount secured a win and Salisbury finished second at an invitational to headline CAC women's swimming action this weekend. 

On Friday, St. Mary's defeated Washington College 113-92. Senior Brooke Raab  collected three gold medals while senior Hannah Hafey picked up a pair of first-place finishes. On Saturday, three Seahawks notched two gold medals each as St. Mary's won eight events en route to a 114-91 triumph over McDaniel. It was the Seahawks (9-1) fifth straight victory. Raab and junior Zoe McIlmail each collected two individual wins to pace the Seahawks. 

Marymount topped Randolph-Macon 115.5-89.5 to improve to 3-1-1 on the year. Claire Thomas led the Saints with individual wins in the 200 freestyle (2:03.55) and 100 freestyle (56.28) and also swam the leadoff leg of the winning 200 freestyle relay. 

Salisbury placed second at the Swarthmore Invitational with 725 points. Sophomore Victoria Radcliffe led the Sea Gulls with a pair of first-place finishes, notching wins in the 500 freestyle (5:21.67) on Friday and the 400 IM (4:51.06) on Saturday. 

Frostburg State continues action at the three-day Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Sunday. Entering the final day, the Bobcats sit in 12th place. Junior Kait Donch picked up the only finals qualifying time for Bobcats with a time of 2:33.22 in the preliminary heat of the 200-yard breaststroke. Donch finished 10th in the finals heat after shaving less than a second off the preliminary time touching the wall at 2:32.49.
