Mary Washington’s Landel, Dolan Sweep C2C Women's Soccer Players of the Week
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the ninth week of the 2025 women's soccer season. Mary Washington's Maci Landel repeated as C2C Offensive Player of the Week, while the Eagles Amanda Dolan claimed C2C Defensive Player of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Maci Landel, Mary Washington
Mary Washington junior Maci Landel continued her torrid pace of goal scoring in a pair of games this week. Against McDaniel on Wednesday, the forward scored twice on six shots and assisted on the final goal as well in a 3-0 victory. And against St. Mary's on Saturday, Landel netted the game-winner, while assisting on the game's third goal in a 4-0 win. For the week, Landel recorded three goals (seven in her last four games) and a pair of assists on 11 shots with six of them coming on goal. She posted eight total points, while netting the game-winners in each of UMW's games.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Amanda Dolan, Mary Washington
Mary Washington junior Amanda Dolan played the most minutes of any defender for the Eagles this past week as they posted their sixth and seventh consecutive shutouts. On the backline, Dolan helped lead the UMW defense to yielding just three total shots during the Eagles' two wins. Against McDaniel, Dolan recorded a shot, while holding the Green Terror to just two total shots and St. Mary's to just one.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Christopher Newport's Hanna Heaton scored the game-winning goal at Methodist this week as she led the nationally ranked captains to a road victory at Methodist. Heaton scored in the 40th minute on a breakaway that saw her tip-toe by the goalkeeper and finesse a shot into the open goal for a 1-0 lead. She moved up to 7th all-time at CNU in just three seasons with the Captains with 83 points… UC Santa Cruz's Cadence Fisher recorded a senior day brace, scoring two goals in just two minutes and 29 seconds against the La Verne Leopards on Saturday morning. Fisher's two goals stood as the difference maker at UCSC defeated La Verne 2-0… Salisbury's Ashley Pantano scored two goals in 3-2 loss at Haverford. Struck first just 34 seconds into game and scored left footed strike in the final minutes of the game… Warren Wilson's Carolina Alcala-Ruiz scored one goal in two games last week for the Owls. In a 2-1 loss at Pfeiffer, she put WWC on the board in the 85th minute… Christopher Newport's Kyleigh Gough played a full 90 minutes at center back for the Christopher Newport defense as the Captains pitched a shutout on the road against Methodist. CNU allowed just six total shots, only three on frame, as the back line held strong against the Monarchs to earn the team's tenth shutout of the season… Warren Wilson's Cameron Bryenton paced the Owls defensive line in a pair of games last week at Pfeiffer and versus NC Wesleyan.
