After finishing the season with an 11-5-4 record, the Stevenson University women's soccer team was selected to its third ECAC Division III South Women's Soccer Championship on Monday as the fifth-seed and will travel to fourth-seeded Dickinson on Wednesday (3 p.m.).

The Red Devils (12-3-4), who finished second in the Centennial Conference this season, will be making their first-ever appearance in the ECAC tournament.

Frostburg State (14-3-2) was selected as the top seed in the eight-team ECAC Division III South Women's Soccer Championship.  The winner of the Stevenson/Dickinson contest will face the winner of Wednesday's Frostburg State vs. No. 8 seed Widener (11-5-2) first-round clash.

In the other half of the bracket on Wednesday, second-seeded Westminster (14-4-2) will host No. 7-seed Catholic (10-7-2), while third-seed Delaware Valley (14-4-1) plays sixth-seeded Swarthmore (9-4-4) at home.

The quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 15 at the highest remaining seed. The Frostburg State/Widener winner will face the winner between Stevenson and Dickinson with the winner of the Westminster/Catholic contest playing the winner of Delaware Valley/Swarthmore.

The semifinal winners will then meet for the championship on Sunday, November 16. Game times for the semifinal and championship games will be determined by the host school following Wednesday's quarterfinals.

Stevenson has played just one of the other seven teams in this year's championship, earning a 1-1 tie at Frostburg State on September 13.
