SU’s Harrington, CNU’s Morrison Collect C2C Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Awards
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the sixth week of the 2026 women's lacrosse season. Salisbury's Audrey Harrington claimed C2C Offensive Player of the Week merit, while Christopher Newport's Brookelyn Morrison took home C2C Defensive Player of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Audrey Harrington, Salisbury
Salisbury senior Audrey Harrington paced the Sea Gulls to a pair of victories over ranked opponents. Harrington tied a program record with seven goals in a 17-11 win over No. 9 William Smith on Monday. She then added one goal on Friday against No. 12 Franklin and Marshall on a free-position shot.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brookelyn Morrison, Christopher Newport
Christopher Newport senior Brookelyn Morrison led the Captains with eight caused turnovers during the week, including five in a 13-12 victory at No. 6 York (Pa.) on Saturday. That equaled the third-highest total against a nationally-ranked opponent in program history and the finest effort in a road game. All five of her takeaways came after CNU secured a 7-6 lead in the second quarter, including four in the second half. Her final strip came with one minute left in regulation, which helped kill York's comeback bid. In addition to her efforts against the Spartans, Morrison had three caused turnovers in a 17-9 win at Shenandoah on Wednesday. Meanwhile, on the other end of the field, she also led Christopher Newport with 10 points, including the go-ahead goal during the win at York.

OFFENSE: Brookelyn Morrison, Christopher Newport

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Brookelyn Morrison led Christopher Newport with 10 points during a pair of victories last week after notching six goals and four assists. During a 13-12 victory at No. 6 York (Pa.) on Saturday, she connected on the go-ahead goal that broke a 6-6 deadlock in the second quarter, which gave the Captains a lead they would never relinquish. Eventually, she finished that contest with a team-high four points. Earlier in the week, she also led the squad with six points, including four goals, during a 17-9 win at Shenandoah on Wednesday. Additionally, she converted her lone free-position attempt during both contests, giving her 12 consecutive conversions dating back to last season. That stands as the longest active streak in the nation and the finest run in program history. Along with her offensive work, Morrison also notched eight caused turnovers, seven draw controls, and six ground balls during the two outings… Salisbury's Abby Fleishell gathered in seven total draw controls on the week, including six against No. 9 William Smith, picked up a ground ball and caused a turnover in two Salisbury victories over ranked opponents.
