SU’s Ott, Fleishell Capture C2C Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Honors

The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the third week of the 2026 women's lacrosse season. Salisbury's Julianna Ott collected C2C Offensive Player of the Week merit, while the Sea Gulls Abby Fleishell received C2C Defensive Player of the Week honors.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Julianna Ott, Salisbury

Salisbury senior Julianna Ott led the Sea Gulls offense to two wins last week.  She scored a career-high six goals in a 16-10 win over Washington (Md.) on Saturday. Ott followed that performance with three against No. 11 Washington and Lee in a 13-6 win. She remained a key contributor in SU draw controls by reeling in 13 on the weekend.


DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Abby Fleishell, Salisbury

Salisbury senior Abby Fleishell paced the Sea Gulls defense in a pair of wins.  She filled the stat sheet up with a total of five ground balls, six draw controls, and four caused turnovers. Had three of each against No. 11 Washington and Lee.

OFFENSE: Brookelyn Morrison, Christopher Newport

DEFENSE: Kate Lamendola, Christopher Newport


C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Christopher Newport's Brookelyn Morrison matched her career-high with six goals while leading CNU to a 24-5 win over St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday. Three of her strikes came on free-position attempts, which equaled the fourth-highest total by a Captain in program history. Consistent throughout the contest, she had two goals in each of the first three quarters while also adding an assist in the third stanza. Meanwhile, she dominated possession while finishing with a game-high nine draw controls. She secured each of the game's first four draws and finished with six in the first quarter as the Captains built a commanding 10-1 advantage after just 15 minutes of action… Christopher Newport's Kate Lamendola had a season-high four caused turnovers during CNU's 24-5 win over St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday. Her four strips also equaled the third-highest total of her career. Helping the Captains vault out to an early lead, she posted three of her takeaways in the first half as the Captains rolled into the break with a 15-2 lead. Later, she added her fourth in the 34th minute to round out her defensive efforts. Meanwhile, on the other end of the field, she deposited her second goal of the season with a tally in the third quarter.
