CAC Lands 22 on IWLCA All-Region Squads
A total of 22 CAC women's lacrosse players received All-Region recognition from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), announced Wednesday. Ten received first-team honors, while 12 landed on the second team.
Mary Washington and York led the way with six selections apiece on the All-Region squads. UMW's Kirsten Littlefield and Mackenzie Maguire earned first-team All-Chesapeake-Region honors, while Julia Albert, Paige Childers, Paige Haskins and Peyton Murray represented the Eagles on the second team.
York placed four on the Metro Region first team - Nicole Clauter, Regan Cook, Meghan Fox, and Devin Hursey. The Spartan duo of Melissa Meehling and Charlotte Wright earned second-team recognition.
Five from Salisbury landed on the All-Chesapeake squad, led by Gianna Falcone, Martha Hutzell, Allie Hynson, and Krissy Murphy on the first team. Dana King collected second team honors for SU.
A trio of Christopher Newport players received All-Chesapeake-Region accolades, with Sarah Culver earning first-team laurels and Julia Golden and Carly Wilson making their way onto the second team.
The St. Mary's duo of Ali Collie and Caitlin Katchmar received second-team awards for the Seahawks.
