Two members of the Salisbury University women's lacrosse team - Liz Filgueras and Aileen McCausland - were selected to play in the 2011 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III North/South Game that will take place on June 11 at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa.

The game is part of a tripleheader that will feature the Division I, II and III all-star games throughout the day. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet that night at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.

Filgueras, recently named a second-team All-American, played and started in 20 games for the Sea Gulls in 2011. The Delmar, Md., native picked up a team-high 29 groundballs and caused 20 turnovers. Filgueras served as an anchor for the SU defense, with the team holding opponents to just 7.18 goals per game.

McCausland played and started in 20 contests in her final season with the maroon and gold. The Phoenix, Md., native finished sixth on the team in point (35), on 33 goals and two assists. The two-way midfielder grabbed 17 groundballs, caused eight turnovers and won five draw controls.

Filgueras and McCausland will be joined by familiar company on the South team as 11 of their teammates on the squad were members of teams that Salisbury played in 2011. The South squad will be coached by Messiah College head coach Heather Greer.
