The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the 12th week of the 2025-26 track and field season. UC Santa Cruz's Luke Holland took home C2C Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors, while Christopher Newport's Dylan Filipowicz was named C2C Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Luke Holland, UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Cruz senior Luke Holland turned in the 21st fastest 5k time in the country this weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational. He ran a 14:19.37 to lead UCSC's efforts in a highly competitive weekend in Southern California.
MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Dylan Filipowicz, Christopher Newport
Christopher Newport freshman Dylan Filipowicz jumped into the top-20 on the NCAA leaderboard in the javelin after winning the event on Friday at the New Captains Classic. During the competition, the freshman uncorked a 61.25-meter heave, which marked the second-longest throw in school history and the finest effort by a Captain since 1977. It also added over 25 feet to his previous PR and was the longest toss by a league competitor since 2023. Additionally, it moved him to 14th on this year's national charts.
