UCSC's Stanciu, SU’s Haack Named C2C Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the 10th week of the 2025-26 track and field season. UC Santa Cruz's Elena Stanciu garnered C2C Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors, while Salisbury's Marlyse Haack captured C2C Women's Field Athlete of the Week recognition.
WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Elena Stanciu, UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Cruz junior Elena Stanciu dropped a 4:27.06 in the 1500m at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic over the weekend which stands as the fourth best time in the country.
WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Marlyse Haack, Salisbury
Salisbury senior Marlyse Haack, a Waretown, N.J. native, posted a dominant weekend battling multiple Division I, Division II, and Division III programs during day the George Mason Dalton Ebanks Invitational. She earned 12th in the triple jump at 11.51 meters (37-09.25), placing her 10th in the nation with a new school record. Haack also posted the SU mark in in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.10 and helped the 4x100 relay team post a school record time of 47.47, which places them 12th in Division III.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Christopher Newport's Ellie Nuckols jumped up the national leaderboard while setting a new personal-best in the 400-hurdles on Friday at the Colonial Relays. During the event, she crossed the line in 1:02.50, which was the fifth-fastest clocking in school history and the finest effort by a Captain since 2011. Additionally, it moved her to ninth on the NCAA charts this year… Mary Washington sophomore Yasmin Deane finished in second place in the 200 meters at the Colonial Relays on Saturday, crossing the line at 24.42, the fifth fastest time in the nation this year… Salisbury's Marlyse Haack posted a dominant weekend battling multiple Division I, Division II, and Division III programs during day the George Mason Dalton Ebanks Invitational. She helped the 4x100 relay team post a school record time of 47.47, which places them 12th in the nation for Division III. Haack went on to post two more SU records herself, one in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.10. She also earned 12th in the triple jump at 11.51 meters (37-09.25), placing her 10th in the nation and a new school record… Christopher Newport's Sadie Forde established a new personal-best in the javelin at the Colonial Relays on Friday. During the meet, she posted a distance of 30.67 meters, which topped her previous PR by nearly 10 feet. It also marked the 10th-longest throw in school history.
