The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2026 softball season. JWU Charlotte's Mai Tellez-Martinez received C2C Player of the Week honors, while Christopher Newport's Cora Grace Sparger was tabbed C2C Pitcher of the Week.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mai Tellez-Martinez, JWU Charlotte

JWU Charlotte freshman Mai Tellez-Martinez was a perfect six for six at the plate in the Wildcats two games this week. Half of her hits went for extra bases, as she had two doubles and a solo home run for 11 total bases. She drove in two and scored four runs and stole a base. Tellez-Martinez is now batting .359 for the season, while slugging .469.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Cora Grace Sparger, Christopher Newport

Christopher Newport freshman Cora Grace Sparger saw action in three games this week for the Captains, posting a complete game victory at home over Lynchburg on Saturday.

PLAYER: Candace Slaw, Christopher Newport; Mia Farhat, Mary Washington

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Christopher Newport's Candace Slaw, who leads the country in base hits, added eight more to her season total this week in four games for the Captains, who went 2-2 for the week. She also scored seven times, drove in six, and stole four bases… In four games this week, Mary Washington's Mia Farhat went 5-for-10 with a double and four RBIs, drawing a walk in the process. Against Stevenson, she went 3-for-7 with three RBIs and walk, while going 2-for-5 with an RBI against Eastern Mennonite. She doubled once as well.
