The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the sixth week of the 2026 softball season.  Mary Washington's Emily Angel was named C2C Player of the Week, while Christopher Newport's Cora Grace Sparger picked up C2C Pitcher of the Week honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Emily Angel, Mary Washington

Mary Washington senior Emily Angel went 4-for-5 (.800) against Randolph, driving in seven runs, while homering and tripling once in two games this week. In Game 1 of the doubleheader, Angel went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored with a walk. In Game 2, she went 2-for-3 with a triple and a two-run home run, while bringing in four runs.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Cora Grace Sparger, Christopher Newport

Christopher Newport freshman Cora Grace Sparger was 2-0 this week in her two starts on the road with wins at Averett and York (Pa.). The Salem, Va., native upped her season's record to 10-3 with the pair of victories.

HONORABLE MENTION

PLAYER: Isabel Hall, Christopher Newport; Courtney Johnson, Salisbury

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Christopher Newport's Isabel Hall went seven-for-ten at the plate this week, and moved her season's average over the .500 mark in a 2-2 week for the 16th-ranked Captains. Hall, a senior, drove in five runs and also posted two doubles and reached base on three walks… Courtney Johnson, the Fulton, Md. native, helped lift Salisbury to a midweek sweep of Washington College (Md.). Johnson tallied a .714 batting average between the two games with four doubles, one home run, three RBIs and five hits during seven at bats. SU run ruled Washington 16-0 in game one before earning a 13-6 game two win.
