UC Santa Cruz’s Holland, Salisbury’s Bodmer Named C2C Cross Country Athletes of the Week
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of the 2025 cross country season. UC Santa Cruz's Luke Holland picked up C2C Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors, while Salisbury's Anna Bodmer was tabbed C2C Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK: Luke Holland, UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Cruz senior Luke Holland turned in the fastest time for the Banana Slugs at the Interregional Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois. He averaged just under a five-minute mile to complete the 8k in 24:50.4, earning him a 20th place finish.
WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK: Anna Bodmer, Salisbury
Salisbury junior Anna Bodmer continues to shine for the Sea Gulls as she once again led the way at the Rowan Border battle, competing against 30 other programs. Bodmer placed 13th with a time of 21:56.8 on the 6k course. The team placed 13th.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Christopher Newport's Andrew Janetsky led the Captains with a 14th-place finish in the 8k during the Border Battle, which was hosted by Rowan University on Saturday at the Gloucester County DREAM Park. During the race, he established a new course PR after finishing in 25:06.5. That shaved 45 seconds off his performance from last year's competition and marked the second-fastest 8k clocking of his career… Salisbury's Austen Cave led the way for the Sea Gull men at the Rowan Border Battle, competing against 35 other programs from the region. Cave earned a 16th-place finish with a time of 25:08.8 on the 8k course, helping his team earn 6th place… Sophomore Lily Hoffman led Mary Washington at the Rowan University Border Battle by finishing in 15th place overall, at 21:57.7, over the 6K course… UC Santa Cruz's Elena Stanciu had a standout performance for the Banana Slugs Interregional Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois, earning a 10th place finish with a time of 22:02.8, averaging a 5:54.8 mile throughout the 6k… Christopher Newport's Sarah Dake set a new PR in the 6k while leading CNU during the Border Battle, which was hosted by Rowan University on Saturday at the Gloucester County DREAM Park. The junior placed 20th in the field while completing the course in 22:08.9, which chipped 19 seconds off her personal-best and marked the fourth-fastest time in school history. It was also the top effort by a Captain since 2021.
