Christopher Newport’s Janetsky, Salisbury’s Bodmer Selected C2C Cross Country Athletes of the Week
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the third week of the 2025 cross country season. Christopher Newport's Andrew Janetsky was tabbed C2C Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, while Salisbury's Anna Bodmer earned C2C Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week acclaim.
MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK: Andrew Janetsky, Christopher Newport
Christopher Newport sophomore Andrew Janetsky led all Division III runners and placed third overall in the 8k during the CNU Invitational on Friday at Lee Hall Mansion. Establishing a new PR in the event, the sophomore completed the course in 25:48.77. That shaved three seconds off his previous personal-best and moved him to 33rd on the program's all-time performance list.
WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK: Anna Bodmer, Salisbury
Salisbury junior Anna Bodmer, from Dickerson, Md., earned first place at the CNU Invitational for the Sea Gull women on the 6k course with a time of 22:21.80.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Sophomore Nicholas Smerlis was Mary Washington's top finisher at the primarily-Division I University of Virginia Invitational on Friday. Smerlis crossed the finish line in 76th place with a time of 27:13.8… Tristan Dutton helped Salisbury win the CNU Invitational with 30 points, finishing well ahead of host Christopher Newport, which posted 62 points. Bridgewater College (Va.) placed third with 93 points. Dutton led the way, earning 4th place with a time of 26:07.22… Diego Vizcarra led UC Santa Cruz at the Kim Duyst Twilight XC Invitational, taking 92nd overall with a time of 25:49.3… Christopher Newport's Sarah Dake set a new PR while placing second overall in the 6k during the CNU Invitational on Friday at Lee Hall Mansion. The junior completed the race in 22:39.69, which sliced 43 seconds off her previous personal-best. It also marked the 13th-fastest clocking in program history and helped the Captains win the team title during Friday's competition… Sophomore Lily Hoffman was Mary Washington's top finisher at the University of Virginia on Friday, finishing in 74th place at 19:15… Jordan Robinson led the way for UC Santa Cruz at the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational, finishing in 62nd with a time of 22:33.6.
