Multiple CAC Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors
Two men's and five women's CAC cross country teams earned All-Academic Team accolades from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday.
To receive All-Academic status, teams must compile a cumulative grade-point average of 3.10 or greater and have competed in at least five different meets with at least five runners representing their school at each in the 2013 season.
On the men's side, Salisbury (3.44 GPA) and St. Mary's (3.22) both earned the distinction. The Sea Gulls and Seahawks were one of 146 teams to receive the honor.
Five CAC members secured All-Academic honors on the women's side, as Christopher Newport (3.36), Frostburg State (3.19), Mary Washington (3.22), and Salisbury (3.34) each garnered the award. A total of 215 women's teams received the honor.
