UMW’s Riordan, UCSC’s Yung Named C2C Tennis Players of the Week
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the ninth week of the 2026 spring tennis season. Mary Washington's Jack Riordan claimed C2C Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors, while UC Santa Cruz's Lucy Yung was tabbed C2C Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jack Riordan, Mary Washington
Mary Washington junior Jack Riordan turned in a successful weekend, as #15 Mary Washington hosted seven top-25 schools this weekend. On Friday in UMW's 4-2 loss to #9 Carnegie Mellon, Riordan defeated Raghav Jangbahadur at three singles, 6-3, 6-3. On Saturday, he defeated John Wehrle of #22 Pomona Pitzer, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4, at three for the clinching point in a 4-2 Eagle victory. In addition, Riordan and freshman Ryan Gipner won their match at two doubles against Pomona Pitzer, with another, in a win over #17 Gustavus Adolphus, unfinished on serve at 3-4.
WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Lucy Yung, UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Cruz freshman Lucy Yung went 3-0 in No. 2 singles on the weekend and 3-0 in No. 1 doubles, helping lead the Banana Slugs a perfect 3-0 weekend against North Park, North Central, and Lake Forest.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Salisbury's Gurv Suri went 2-1 in both singles and doubles play during the Sea Gulls' three-day, three-match weekend against Catholic, Stevens, and NYU. He and Aron Bursztyn won back-to-back first doubles tilts against Catholic (6-4), and Stevens (6-3). Suri followed that up with two straight-sets dubs in first singles against Catholic (6-2, 6-3) and Stevens [7-6 (7-5), 6-2]… Facing Virginia Wesleyan University, Christopher Newport grad transfer Barrett Foster won both of his matches to help CNU secure a 6-1 win. He paired with Vincent Truong for a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles against Jed Platts and Ayaan Choudhary before also earning a win over Josh Buckland at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-1… Mary Washington's Natalie Kim went undefeated this week for the 26th ranked Eagles, winning a pair of matches at two singles and one doubles, as the Eagles topped Washington College, 6-1, and were edged by #21 Swarthmore, 4-3. On Friday, she and Addison Felts won at one doubles against Washington, 6-4, before winning at two singles, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4. Then on Saturday Kim and Felts won at one doubles, 6-1, before Kim took a 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at two… Christopher Newport's Kendal Chang won two of her three singles matches this week in Atlanta as the Captains faced No. 29 Sewanee, No. 6 Johns Hopkins, and No. 11 Emory. Playing at No. 2 singles, Chang defeated Harper High (Sewanee) by a score of 6-3, 6-0 and Sahana Sanjeev (Johns Hopkins) in a 6-3, 6-2 final. She lost to Emory's nationally-ranked Iris Berman 3-6, 2-6 in the final match of the week. She dropped three doubles matches against three of the top pairs in the country including a 6-7 setback to Sewanee's Mariella Congeni and Ivy Wilson, a 2-6 loss to No. 1 Ava Li and Kamila Wong from Hopkins, and a 3-6 defeat against Emory's Emily Kantrovitz and Iris Berman.
