UMW’s Rein, Felts Sweep C2C Tennis Player of the Week Accolades

The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of the 2026 spring tennis season.  Mary Washington's Trevor Rein collected C2C Men's Tennis Player of the Week recognition, while the Eagles Addison Felts earned C2C Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors.

 

MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Trevor Rein, Mary Washington

Mary Washington junior Trevor Rein helped the #17 Eagles to a 5-2 victory over #27 Christopher Newport on Saturday, with wins in both singles and doubles. He started the match by teaming with junior Asher Willenborg for a 7-6 (8) win at one doubles over Nesh Kumaresan and Gabe Smith, and added a singles win at two with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Smith.

 

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Addison Felts, Mary Washington

Mary Washington junior Addison Felts gained wins in doubles and singles as the #25 Eagles topped #37 Christopher Newport, 5-2, on Friday. Felts teamed with sophomore Natalie Kim for a 6-4 victory at one doubles, and then topped Kendal Chang, 6-4, 6-3, at one singles, as the Eagles improved to 7-4 on the season.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Salisbury's Gurv Suri grinded out a 6-2, 7-6 win in first singles on Wednesday against Washington College. In top doubles, he and Aron Bursztyn dropped a 6-3 decision… UC Santa Cruz's Ben Wang went 4-0 in singles this week at the No. 1 spot as UCSC wrapped up an undefeated weekend in the Pacific Northwest. Wang earned two set victories in three singles matches while bringing home a three-set win against Pacific. Wang also went 2-1 in doubles play at No. 1 with victories over Puget Sound and Lewis and Clark… Salisbury's Cleo Solomon won both of her matches with ease on Thursday at Washington College. In first doubles, she and Gibelle Beaujon rolled to a 6-1 decision. Then in second singles, Solomon locked in for a quick 6-3, 6-1 dub.
