The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2026 spring tennis season.  Christopher Newport's Barrett Foster claimed C2C Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors, while the Captains Kylie Schaefer was tabbed C2C Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Barrett Foster, Christopher Newport

Christopher Newport senior Barrett Foster won both of his matches against No. 34 North Carolina Wesleyan on Sunday as he helped the nationally-ranked Captains secure a hard-fought 4-3 win at home. First, he helped CNU capture the doubles point with a win at No. 1 doubles with partner Vincent Truong, earning a 6-2 win against Farhaan Patrawala and Albert Sitwell. Then, with the match tied, 3-3, Foster was the clinching point at No. 4 singles against Ben Russell. He earned a 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 7-5 win to close out the victory.

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kylie Schaefer, Christopher Newport

Christopher Newport junior Kylie Schaefer helped lift the nationally-ranked Captains to a pair of 6-1 wins on Saturday at home. She won both singles matches at No. 1 and also picked up one win at No. 1 doubles. Against Virginia Wesleyan, she defeated Tuva Fink at No. 1 singles in a 6-0, 6-1 final. Then, versus N.C. Wesleyan, she paired with Kendal Chang for a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles. She added a 6-0, 6-2 win against USA South Player of the Year Andrea Elaez Miranda.

HONORABLE MENTION

WOMEN: Gibelle Beaujon, Salisbury

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Gibelle Beaujon went 1-1 during Salisbury's bout with 20th-ranked Williams on Wednesday. In doubles she and Cleo Solomon put up a stiff challenge in a 7-5 loss. Then in first singles, Beaujon rallied to win a marathon second set and third-set tiebreaker, taking the dub at 3-6, 7-6 (11-9), 1-0 (11-9).
