Mary Washington and Christopher Newport Gain CAC Men's Tennis Semifinal Wins, Setting Up Championship Rematch

Top-seeded Mary Washington and second-seeded Christopher Newport each registered home victories in the CAC men's tennis semifinals on Wednesday, setting up a championship rematch between the two sides for the fourth straight season. 

In Fredericksburg, Va., UMW (19-5) blanked fourth-seeded Southern Virginia (17-5) 6-0. The Eagles are seeking their 19th CAC title on Saturday. 

In Newport News, Va., CNU (13-8) defeated third-seeded Salisbury (16-5) 5-2 to advance to its fourth consecutive CAC Championship match. 

The Captains halted the Eagles' 18-year title streak in last year's championship with a 5-3 victory. The Eagles topped the Captains 9-0 in the regular season matchup between the two sides on March 25.
