Full field of singles and doubles qualifiers

Mary Washington seniors Tyler Carey and Evan Charles will represent the CAC at the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships. Carey and Charles will compete as a doubles pair for the second straight year, while Carey earned a spot in the singles tournament for the third straight season.

Carey and Charles boast a 15-9 doubles mark on the year. The duo was knocked out in the first round of last year's tournament by Case Western Reserve's Eric Klawitter and Chris Krimbill, 7-5, 3-6, 6-1.

Carey, the three-time CAC Player of the Year, is 18-10 in singles play from the No. 1 spot in the UMW lineup. He dropped an opening-round match to eighth-seeded Oliver Lutsenko of Skidmore last year, 6-3, 6-4.

The Salisbury doubles duo of Daniel Albers and Eric Spangler were named the alternate doubles team from the Atlantic South region. Any doubles team that scratches from the tournament will be replaced by the next team from their region. Albers and Spangler competed in last year's tournament, falling in the first round to Timmy Berg and Pierre Planche of Bates College, 6-1, 6-2.

The team championship will take place May 18-20, and the individual championships May 21-23, both at Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio, and will be hosted by Ohio Northern University and the Warren County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The draw for the individual championship will be done by the men’s tennis committee and will be released on the last day of the team championship.

The individual championships consists of 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams. The selection of teams and individuals for the championships is based on win-lost record, strength of schedule, and eligibility and availability of student-athletes.
