Salisbury sophomore EVAN THOMAS (Salisbury, Md./Faith Baptist) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Mens Tennis Player of the Week for April 14, 2008 after posting a 2-0 record at No. 4 singles this week. He gained a decision in straight-sets against Haverford, which is ranked 10th in the region, followed by a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 triumph in SUs match against nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins.
York Junior Tim Mowrer Named CAC Men's Tennis Player Of The Week

York junior TIM MOWRER (Gordonville, Pa./Pequea Valley) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Mens Tennis Player of the Week for April 7, 2008 after winning all three No. 1 singles matches this week. Mowrers biggest win was a 6-4, 6-4 decision against Salisburys Brendan Kincaid, who is ranked #13 in the region and defeated Mowrer in straight sets in the 2007 CAC championships. It was Yorks only point against the 2008 CAC regular-season champion Sea Gulls. Its the second time this season Mowrer has been named CAC Mens Tennis Player of the Week.

Salisbury senior BRENDAN KINCAID (Cambridge, Md./Cambridge) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Mens Tennis Player of the Week for March 31, 2008 after clinching SUs 5-4 victory over Mary Washington, handing the Eagles their first conference loss in eight years. Kincaid rallied from a first-set tiebreaker loss vs. the No. 5-ranked player in the country for a 6-7 (8), 7-5, 6-3 triumph. He also paired with SU sophomore Scott Burtzlaff to gain an 8-2 upset victory at the No. 1 doubles position. Earlier in the week, Kincaid helped the Sea Gulls stop 20th-ranked Christopher Newport.

Salisbury sophomore SCOTT BURTZLAFF (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Mens Tennis Player of the Week for March 24, 2008 after winning all three singles matches at the No. 3 position and pairing with senior Brendan Kincaid to go 2-1 in doubles during SUs Spring Break trip to California, where the Sea Gulls played several nationally and regionally-ranked teams.

Salisbury senior BRENDAN KINCAID (Cambridge, Md./Cambridge-SD) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Mens Tennis Player of the Week award for March 10, 2008 after winning all five of his singles matches this spring, including one at the No. 1 position and two at the No. 2 position, to improve his 2007-08 record to 8-1. Kincaid has also paired with sophomore Scott Burtzlaff in the No. 1 doubles position to go undefeated in three matches this spring and improve to 9-1 overall this year.
