Mary Washington Senior Alex Anderson Takes 2nd in 200 IM With 2nd Fastest Time in DIII History
Mary Washington senior Alex Anderson kicked off the 2015 NCAA Swimming Championships in style, finishing in second place in the 200 individual medley in record-breaking fashion on Wednesday night at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas.
Anderson finished in 1:46.46 to nab silver in the 200 IM for the second straight year, and was one of three swimmers to surpass the old Division III record in the event. His time now ranks as the second fastest in Division III history.
Anderson returns to the pool on Thursday as he looks to capture his third straight national title in the 400 IM.
