Mary Washington’s Argueta-Garcia, UC Santa Cruz’s Jacobson-Bell Capture C2C Men's Soccer Player of the Week Award
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2025 men's soccer season. Mary Washington's Moises Argueta-Garcia picked up C2C Offensive Player of the Week honors, while UC Santa Cruz's Tobias Jacobson-Bell was named C2C Defensive Player of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Moises Argueta-Garcia, Mary Washington
Mary Washington freshman Moises Argueta-Garcia came away with a game-winning goal and an assist as well as three total shots in a win and a draw this week. Argueta-Garcia netted the game-winning goal against Shenandoah, then assisted on the second goal on Wednesday, recording three total shots.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tobias Jacobson-Bell, UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Cruz sophomore Tobias Jacobson-Bell has been a strong force in goal for the Banana Slugs. In a pair of wins last week, he made four saves while earning a shutout victory over Cal Lutheran and didn't allow a goal at La Verne in 83 minutes.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Salisbury's David Brunetti scored game-winner in final minutes at Johns Hopkins off a rebound. Tallied 3 shots vs. Mary Washington… UC Santa Cruz's Oliver Gill scored the game winner against Cal Lutheran in the 1-0 weekend victory in Southern California. The goal was a near sided strike past the keeper in the first half and stands as Gill's first career goal… Salisbury's Nate Jones made key saves down the stretch in a four-save shutout versus Mary Washington. Added three saves in a comeback effort vs. Johns Hopkins… Christopher Newport's Carson Friedlein scored the game-winning goal with a header off a corner kick in a 6-1 victory against Regent University. He also played a full 90 minutes against Washington and Lee and helped CNU secure a shutout against the talented foe. It was the sixth shutout of the season for the CNU defense. He has taken over the scoring lead with eight points on three goals and two assists… In a pair of games this past week, Mary Washington's Tristan Kickbush came away with a pair of shutouts -- totaling 12 saves, a win, and a draw. Against Shenandoah in a 2-0 win, Kickbush recorded four saves in the victory. Meanwhile, against Salisbury on Saturday, Kickbush recorded eight saves in the scoreless draw, including a potential game-winning penalty kick with three seconds remaining to preserve the tie.
