The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the second week of the 2025 men's soccer season. Mary Washington's Sammy Amorose picked up C2C Offensive Player of the Week honors, while the Eagles Tristan Kickbush claimed C2C Defensive Player of the Week recognition.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sammy Amorose, Mary Washington
Mary Washington senior Sammy Amorose scored twice, while recording two assists in the Eagles' two victories this past weekend. Against Regent on Friday, Amorose netted the second goal and assisted on the match's first score in UMW's 5-0 victory over the Royals. And on Sunday, against No. 4 Washington & Lee, Amorose scored the game's first goal in the first three minutes before setting up the pass to the game-winner the No. 9 Eagles netted in the 2-1 win over the Generals. In all, Amorose recorded eight shots, seven shots-on-goal, two goals and two assists for six points this past weekend.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tristan Kickbush, Mary Washington

In a 5-0 win over Regent, Kickbush played over 75 minutes in net, recording a pair of saves on the two shots he faced. And against No. 4 Washington & Lee, Kickbush was nearly perfect as he recorded six saves on the seven shots-on-goal he faced in the No. 9 Eagles' 2-1 victory.

DEFENSIVE: Carson Friedlein, Christopher Newport; Nicolas Chinchilla, Salisbury
C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Christopher Newport's Ethan Arnolds factored into two of the four goals scored by the Captains this week with a pair of assists. First, he set up the first goal against William Paterson and then added an assist against Redlands… UC Santa Cruz's Michael Braun continued to be a catalyst for the Banana Slugs attack as the junior dished out an assist in both contests, helping UCSC go 1-1 on the weekend with a 2-0 win over Puget Sound… Christopher Newport's Carson Friedlein played 67.5 minutes per game on the back line, helping the CNU defense stymie a pair of talented offensive attacks. One of the two goals allowed came when Friedlein was not on the field. He also scored his first career goal in a one-goal victory against William Paterson and then added an assist on the game-winning goal against Redlands. Friedlein's tally against the Pioneers gave CNU a 1-0 lead and then his long throw in the second half against Redlands led to a header goal from Asher Kuzemka, putting the Captains ahead, 2-1, for the win… Salisbury's Nicolas Chinchilla helped the Sea Gulls defense earn a hard-fought draw against a Lynchburg team that is receiving votes in the national Poll. The Sea Gull defense only allowed four goals in three games this past weekend.
