NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament Bracket
York and Salisbury will represent the CAC in the 2016 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament, as the field was announced on Sunday night. Both the Spartans and Sea Gulls will host first-round games on Wednesday, May 11.
York (16-3), which won its first-ever CAC title with a 10-9 victory over Salisbury, will host Eastern (14-5) at 4 p.m. at Kinsley Field on Wednesday. This will mark the Spartans second NCAA appearance, with the other coming in 2014. Wednesday's matchup will be a rematch of the 2016 season-opener for York and Eastern as the Spartans claimed a 9-2 road victory back on Feb. 17.
Salisbury (18-1) earned an at-large bid and will host Catholic (11-6) at Sea Gull Stadium on Wednesday. The game will be the 11th all-time meeting between the two programs as the Gulls are 10-0 heading into Wednesday's game. In those 10 victories, Salisbury has never been held below 18 goals, while Catholic has never scored more than six goals.
