Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Blows Past Gettysburg in NCAA Semifinals

Third-ranked Salisbury downed fifth-ranked Gettysburg, 5-3, in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse semifinals on Sunday night at Sea Gull Stadium, sending the Sea Gulls to the championship game for the second time in the last three years.

The Sea Gulls (22-1) will meet fourth-ranked Tufts (20-2) in the NCAA Championship game next Sunday, May 29 at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa. Tufts defeated St. Lawrence 23-12 in the other semifinal on Sunday.

Salisbury outscored the visiting Bullets by two goals in each quarter. Carson Kalama led the offense with five goals and one assist, while Nathan Blondino posted four goals and one assist and James Burton notched three goals and two assists.  

Andrew Ternahan picked up a game-high eight ground balls, while Will Nowesnick caused a pair of turnovers.
