Five from CAC Selected for USILA North-South Senior All-Star Game

Five CAC men's lacrosse players have been selected to compete in the 74th Annual USILA/LaxWorld Division III North-South Senior All-Star, set for this Friday, May 22 at 3 p.m. at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa.
Salisbury had a trio of players selected for the all-star game, including Knute Kraus, Sean Fitzgerald and Austin Kemp. St. Mary's will be represented by Matt Tarrant, while York's Tyler Hutson will also compete in the game.
Kraus enjoyed a successful season on the field for the Gulls, being named a first team USILA All-American and All-Capital Athletic Conference member. He was also honored as the CAC's Player of the Year and the USILA's William C. Stiles Outstanding Defensive Player, as the best defender in the country. Kraus led the Sea Gulls with 29 caused turnovers, while picking up 50 ground balls this season.
Fitzgerald was Salisbury's lead distributor on the offensive end this season, pacing the team with 39 assists. He finished third on the team with 61 points, while adding 22 goals. Fitzgerald was named a USILA All-American honorable mention and an All-CAC first-team member.
Kemp, also a USILA honorable mention All-American and first-team All-CAC member, was another pillar on Salisbury's second-ranked defense this season. He started all 22 games for the team and caused 26 turnovers to finish the year third on the team. Kemp also picked up 43 ground balls this season.
Tarrant paced the Seahawks in assists with 13 (career-best) and points with 33 while coming in second with 20 goals. He collected three hat tricks this season, including a season-high four goals in a win over Oberlin College. He ended his four-year career with 94 goals and 35 assists for 129 points in 61 games played. He helped the Seahawks to 34 wins and the 2013 CAC tournament championship title as well as the program's first-ever NCAA tournament bid.
Hutson earned a pair of honors from the USILA as he was named as an Honorable Mention All-American while he was also named as a 2015 USILA Scholar All-American as announced by the organization earlier this week. He finished his career holding every career offensive record for the Spartans. He scored 206 goals and dished out 80 assists for 286 career points. His points total is 111 points more than the runner up Josh Gamble. His 206 goals are 86 more than Gamble while his 80 assists edged former teammate James Lowe by five helpers.
