Salisbury Runs Away From Susquehanna For NCAA Men's Lacrosse First Round Victory; St. Mary's Drops Heartbreaker At Lynchburg

CAC regular-season champ Salisbury ran away early from Susquehanna for a 22-2 victory in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament Wednesday.  CAC playoff champ St. Mary's was outscored 4-0 in the fourth quarter and dropped a 6-5 decision at Lynchburg in another first-round clash.

The No. 12 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team advanced to the second round of the 2013 NCAA Division III men's lacrosse tournament on Wednesday afternoon with its 22-2 victory over Susquehanna University at Sea Gull Stadium in first-round action.   The Sea Gulls started and ended the game strongly, with eight goals in the first and fourth quarters; they were led by attackmen, freshman Brady Dashiell and sophomore Jesse Rabishaw, who both scored four goals. Both players registered one assist to total five points each, while senior midfielder Eric Kluge led the Gulls with five assists.

The No. 19 St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse team put up a valiant fight in their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament but could not hold on for the win Wednesday night. No. 13 Lynchburg College powered through for the 6-5 first round victory with four unanswered goals in the final period.
