Penn State Harrisburg has named Malcolm Jackson as its new head men's golf coach entering the spring of 2016. Jackson brings five years of prior collegiate coaching experience to the program.

Jackson spent two years as the assistant coach at his alma mater Elizabethtown College, before being elevated to the position of head coach for three years. The Blue Jay program was lifted to new heights under his leadership. Jackson earned his degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College.

Jackson received a full scholarship offer to a Division I-AA golf program (South Carolina State University). His playing experience at that level has served as a foundation that has helped the players he has interacted with develop the discipline and mindset it takes to compete at high levels.

Beyond golf, Jackson is a managing partner in several private corporations which hold a collective goal to improve daily living for people. He has had success in building businesses with a holistic approach and believes that a holistic approach in mentoring and preparing his players will yield a lot of success on and off the course.

Jackson and his wife are the proud parents to two daughters and currently reside in Dauphin, Pa. He is looking forward to being an active member of the campus community.

"There are more scoreboards than just those that frame our competition areas, therefore we must coach to win on all fronts!" said Jackson.

Athletic Director Rashaan Carlton has tremendous confidence that the golf team will continue to excell with the newly hired coach. "We are very excited to welcome Malcolm to our team here at Penn State Harrisburg. I am very confident that he will help continue the solid tradition that our golf program has established here over the years."

Jackson and the Penn State Harrisburg golf team begin their spring campaign March 19th when they travel to Ursinus College for the Revolutionary Classic.
