York On Top At The Halfway Mark Of 2013 CAC Golf Championship; Wesley's Mason Mendoza Cards 70 To Take 4-Stroke Lead

York's top four scorers all carded rounds under 80 to lift the Spartans to the top of the team scoreboard after the first day of competition in the 2013 CAC Golf Championship.

York's top four golfers combined for a 16-over-par 304 at Wild Quail Golf & Country Club in Wyoming, Del. for a 10-stroke lead over defending CAC champion and tournament host Wesley (314) heading into the second day of the championship.  Marymount is also within reach, posting a 322 after 18 holes of the 36-hole championship.

Wesley's Mason Mendoza took the individual lead on the first day, carding a 34 on the back nine to be the only player to finish under par.  Mendoza's two-under 70 is four shots better than both Peter Johns of Marymount and Tyler Keim of York, who are tied for second place.

Tied for fourth are defending CAC medalist Robert Ehrhardt and York's Kevin Long, each with a 75 in Saturday's round.

Rounding out the top 10 after the first day of competition are York's Travis Oot (75), Marymount's Brad Johnson (78), York's Ryan Wolbach (79), Wesley's Clayton Bunting (80) and Marymount's MarkAnthony Curtis (81).
