Brent Williams was named the new Marymount University intercollegiate head golf coach according the Bill Finney, athletic director.

       Williams, who is the assistant golf professional at Needwood Golf Course in Rockville, Maryland, is also an apprentice in the Professional Golfers Association of
America.

       Williams has extensive experience in giving golf lessons and also has a background in collegiate golf.  He was a member of the Appalachian State University golf team for four years.  

       "We are pleased to have Brent join our coaching staff," said Finney.  "He brings us the right combination to have our golf program succeed."

       Williams has a degree in Recreation Management from Appalachian State.  He is a North Carolina native.  Prior to his position at Needwood Golf Course, he had a similar position at Woodholme Country Club.
