Complete D3hoops.com Middle-Atlantic Region Team

A pair of CAC men's basketball players earned D3hoops.com All-Middle-Atlantic Region honors on Monday, as Christopher Newport's Marcus Carter was named to the first team and Salisbury's Gordon Jeter landed on the second team. 

Players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region team are eligible for All-American selection. The men's All-American team will be announced at the end of this week, in conjunction with the Division III men's championships. 

Carter, the CAC Player of the Year, leads the Captains (30-1) in scoring with 15.9 points per game. He scored 22 points in each of CNU's wins this weekend as the Captains downed Keene State and Wooster to reach the Final Four. The 6-2 sophomore also is averaging 7.1 rebounds per contest and has posted eight double-doubles this season.

Jeter, a first team All-CAC pick, becomes just the second Sea Gull to earn the honor since the organization began naming their teams after the 2001-02 season. This year, Jeter led the Sea Gulls (21-7) with 13.6 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per contest. The inside-out threat shot 36 percent from outside, hitting 18-of-50 three-pointers. Jeter's 46 assists were third on the team, while had a team-best 29 blocks on the year.
