St. Mary's Advances To NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Elite 8 With 84-66 Victory Over Morrisville State
Donn Hill and Jeff Haus each recorded double-doubles and three teammates contributed double-digit scoring totals as St. Mary's downed Morrisville State, 84-66, in the third round of the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.
Hill scored a game-high 17 points and shared game-high rebounding honors with Haus, each with 11, as the Seahawks played in the Division III Sweet 16 for the fourth time in the last six years. Haus chipped in 13 markers on the offensive end.
James Davenport (15 points), Nick LaGuerre (14 pts.) and Brendan McFall (11 pts.) combined to provide a balanced attack for the Seahawks, who set a team record with its 27th win of the season. SMC's previous best was a 26-4 mark in 2009-10.
