Four From CAC Named To D3Hoops.com All-Region Men's Basketball Team; Wesley's Lennon Named Rookie Of The Year

Wesley senior Paul Reynolds, the CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Year, was the leader of four conference players named to the 2013 D3hoops.com all-region men's basketball team. 

Additionally, Reynolds' freshman teammate Wayne Lennon, added the regional Rookie of the Year award to his resume, which already includes the CAC Rookie of the Year award.

After earning Third Team honors the last two seasons, Reynolds received first team d3hoops.com all-region recognition after averaging 20.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.1 steals, all of which were career highs.  The native of Wilmington, Del., was also named the CAC Player of the Year and ECAC South Region Player of the Year.  Reynolds also shot an impressive 56.1% from the floor and notched ten double-doubles.

Also earning all-region honors this year were Frostburg State senior guard Christian Jackson, Salisbury senior guard Travon Vann and St. Mary's sophomore guard Nick LaGuerre

Jackson and Vann were second-team D3hoops.com all-region picks while LaGuerre, who has helped lead 11th-ranked SMC to the 2013 Sweet 16 round Saturday against visiting Morrisville State, was a third-team all-region pick.

A native of Whitesboro, N.J., Lennon was also the Capital Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and averaged 6.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists.  The six-foot-three swingman shot nearly 40% from behind-the-arc and 80% from the charity stripe.  After earning a starting spot midway through the season, Lennon put up 8.2 points and 4.0 rebounds while going for double digits eight times.
